Purchased 'HIGHLAND VIEW' 16/05/07

This is a quick note to say that the painting has arrived safely!!!  Hoooooray!  We got it yesterday evening.  It arrived in perfect nick – thanks to the bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard.  It took a good half hour to open it up.  Goodness knows how long it took you to actually wrap it up!

We are delighted with the results.  It was a bit strange seeing it in the flesh for the first time.   I must say, buying a picture over the internet this way is a little odd.  You start to build up an idea of what the picture will be like in your head based on what you have seen on the internet or a print-out rather than from the genuine article.  However, we are really happy with the results.  We have already fixed it to the wall of our house and it looks really stunning in our lounge.  I can’t stop looking at it.  A lovely piece of real artwork.  Not a print but genuine paint strokes made by another person’s (your) hands!  You can even smell the paint close up.  The picture suits our tastes perfectly.  It’s abstract but not too modern for our home.  We have lots of wood, linen fabrics, leather, wool etc., in our home.  We also have pictures and photos of beaches, birds, mountains etc.,This is a refreshing take of the kind of things we love most.  The painting looks bright and vibrant in bright light, but also takes on subtle hues in a more muted evening light.  Thanks very much for going to great lengths to get it to us.  I think you should do more of these kinds of pictures in future!!!

Purchased 'BOATYARD ' 05/01/08

First time I bought a 'real' painting rather than a print. Worried at first about what it would look like off the computer screen. Did not need to be concerned it looks the same!! Showed it to the family. The creative one said it was awesome and could she have it in her bedroom -- afraid not it is for my room. The 'Boatyard' is a very creative interpretation of what I picture as a harbour with loads of light bouncing all over the place with bright colours and fab imagery. We all the liked it a lot. Would suggest you also consider interpreting things like the auroras or tropical fish as these also play to the wonder of bright vibrant colours.
